An aerial view of the most chaotic, joyful vineyard party imaginable — dogs in sunglasses, a disco ball in an oak tree, a rocket launching, a sumo wrestler, a bride in a bathtub, mariachis, an elephant, and a whole lot of McClean wine — all at golden hour in Paso Robles.Shop Wines

Seriously fun people.

Four small-batch wines from the heart of Paso Robles — all rated 90+ by Wine Enthusiast. No tasting notes that sound like a thesaurus. Just wine worth opening.

A carnival dunk tank at a McClean Vineyards event in Paso Robles at golden hour: a nun winds up to pitch at the bullseye while an umpire calls the throw, a Victorian gentleman in a top hat sits above the water holding a perfectly level glass of red wine, a koi swims in the tank, and in the background a knight fails at the high striker while a grandmother plays the goldfish toss. Real McClean Wine bottles — Smug Ladybug and One Last Syrah — displayed on a barrel in the foreground.

Step Right Up

The best parties in Paso don't explain themselves.

At McClean Wine, we believe a good time needs no justification. Our wines were made for the gatherings, the games, and the long sunsets — nun pitching, gentleman dunking, koi supervising. Everyone plays. Bring a bottle.

Two Pinots in a Pod

A stoic cowboy holds a glass of McClean red wine while a fairy in a pink tutu paints a butterfly on his cheek. A yellow Labrador in a black beret with paint on his nose sits beside them. Real McClean Wine bottles — Smug Ladybug, One Last Syrah, and Cabernet — line the bar behind them. Paso Robles vineyard hills and bistro lights glow in the background.

He came in for a glass. He left with a butterfly.

A female astronaut in a dirty spacesuit holds a glass of McClean One Last Syrah while leaning over a wooden chess board, locked in intense concentration against a barn cat who has one paw on a chess piece. A real McClean One Last Syrah bottle sits between them. A French bulldog watches from the background. A silver rocket stands in the Paso Robles vineyard behind them, bistro lights strung overhead, golden-hour hills glowing in the distance.

The Story Behind the Label

Grew up on 14 acres.
Never got over it.

Steven McClean spent his childhood on a Paso Robles Syrah vineyard. He left. He came back. He brought winemaker Kevin Sass with him — and they started making wines that actually reflect how people drink: with friends, with food, with a little chaos.

Pull up a chair. We don't judge your opponent.

Provenance

Paso Robles, not a vibe

Calcareous limestone soils. Adelaida Region. Real place, real grapes — not a marketing story invented in a conference room.

Identity

Labels that start conversations

A sumo wrestler. A ladybug with an attitude. A syrah named like a goodbye. The label is the first joke. The wine is the punchline.

Craft

90+ points. $18 a bottle.

Wine Enthusiast gave us four scores above 90. We kept the price where it belongs — on the table, not on a pedestal.

Paso Robles · Pond Level

What Happens
at the Pond.

Split-level view of a Paso Robles pond dock: above the waterline, a Victorian gentleman in a top hat and a pro bass angler in a fishing vest sit side by side with fishing rods, a real McClean wine bottle, and a golden retriever between them. Below the waterline, three mariachis and a deep-sea diver in a brass helmet play poker at a green felt table, wine glasses and poker chips in hand, koi fish and fishing lures drifting past.

Above the water: gentlemen and ranch hands. Below: friends on break. Nobody asks questions. The wine doesn't care either way — it just rides along.
